I like it too, I'm takin' them in the first half. Pittsburgh can't be as bad as they looked this week, but Denver is still clearly the better team capable of stomping the Steelers. Plummer and Lelie should have a field day against that Steelers backfield. I think there might be a chance the public will take the 7 points and the line might move?

Like the Steelers getting the points here. They will circle the wagons and play tough. would not be surprised to see them win outright.

Not a big fan of what i am about to say, but i will say it anyway. Who have the Broncos played? Albeit they did play KC tough and probably should have one. Nothing against Denver, i just do not think the Steelers are as bad as they have looked at time.

We all know that as soon as we are convinced a team is dominant, and we jump on a large line, we get burnt time and time again. But, Denver wins at Kansas City if Dante Hall doesnt return that punt for a TD, or if the refs see the illegal blocks, so we all know they are solid, and we also must take into consideration the weak Pittsburgh secondary.

I don';t knwo it just seem slike Denver is a team that can hold a lead in the 2nd half, don't really see those guys choking a lot, especially this year, maybe I'm just deluding myself, but, of all the 7 point favs I've seen this year, I'd say this one looks the most atttractive, based solely on Denvers very good play and Pttsburghs pitiful performance against the Browns. I'd imagin it stays at 6.5, maybe not, though, there could be a lot of people out there waiting for the line to move who want to take Denver. Seems like Denver is also a team that plays pretty well in the first half, I think thye might have been up on the Chiefs by three?, of course I've got that nightmare game against the Raiders this year to look back on, it was like an avalanche toppled them in the first half. Steelers, on the other hand, came out very slow against the Browns and never got anything going. They had that one game week 1 that was impressive, but after that they've sputteded out, I don't see them turning their season around, they just look like a team that's lost, that secondary is HORRENDOUS. And without their passing game running on all cylindars, which it isn't, they don't have a chance. And Denver's D is playing pretty well so far.

Something to consider. Denver's offensive strength is the run game while Pittsburgh's defensive strength is stopping the run. Can Plummer deliver with two old receivers once Portis gets shut down? I believe Portis WILL be shut down leaving Jake the Snake to win it all on his own.

I believe he can but I don't like laying 7 like that.

Pittsburgh is also an incredibly dangerous team to bet against right now. They have the talent to win any given game and their backs are up against the wall. This is a scary spot to lay chalk against.

Cowher will have Pittsburgh ready to play. I think he is a great coach and don't see Pittsburgh giving up on the season. They are only a game back and will probably still win the division.

I'd take the Steelers plus the points.

IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN..THE STEELERS HAVE THE NUMBER 1 RANKED DEFENSE IN THE NFL. ONE OF THE TRENDS THAT I FOLLOW IS LOOKING AT THE TOP 16 DEFENSIVE TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE (HALF OF THE LEAGUE), AND DETERMINE IF ANY OF THESE TEAMS ARE GETTING POINTS FROM A TEAM THAT HAS A DEFENSE RANKED FROM 17TH TO 32ND OVERALL. LAST WEEK, THERE WERE 2 TEAMS THAT FELL INTO THIS TREND. MIAMI AND DENVER, MIAMI WINS OUTRIGHT, AND THE BRONCOS COVER THE POINTSPREAD. DENVER, BY NO SUCH MEANS HAS SWISS CHEESE FOR A DEFENSE, BEING RANKED 4TH AS OF NOW. HOWEVER I ALWAYS MAKE AN EXEPTION TO THE BEST DEFENSIVE TEAM OUT THERE GETTING THE POINTS. I BELIEVE THAT THE STEELERS WERE FLATTENED SUNDAY NIGHT AGAINST THE BROWNS, BEACAUSE IT WAS A LOOK AHEAD GAME FOR THE BRONCOS THIS WEEK, AND I ALSO LOOK FOR THE BRONCOS TO HAVE A LOOK AHEAD AS THEY TRAVEL TO MINNESOTA THE FOLLOWING WEEK. I'M ALL OVER THE STEELERS THIS WEEK, LOOK FOR THEM TO COVER THE POINTS IF NOT WIN OUTRIGHT. GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND!!!! EDDIE REBEL

plummer might not even play, if he does he's definately less than 100%, and with no line currently available on the game, if you got it at 7 it's a gift to take the steelers.
i think the line will come out much less.

GAME.

My local has it at +9 and Im licking my chops at the dog here. Situations clearly favour pitt and portis is not 100 % which means plummer may have to do it on his own. Steelers arent as bad as they looked but Maddux has made more stupid decisions in the last 5 weeks than I ever remember Kordel making. Still, Cowher wont let them live down last week and is notorious for getting his team to respond the week after debacles like last sunday...if the line moves..the dogs the play

Pittsburgh's run defense is giving up 3.4 YPC compared to Denver's 4.7 YPC. If Pitt can somewhat contain Portis and force Beuerlein to beat them the Broncos could be in trouble. I think Beuerlein is a good backup QB but I don't think you want him going up against a pissed off/embarassed Steeler's defense.

Steelers +7 look pretty good to me!

KMAN,

Careful with stats. Everyone has been throwing on Pitt, Denver has been playing prevent first 4 games.

Giving the points looks good until Portis gets stretchered off after the second play, then you have 3 hours of pain.

Taking the points looks good until you find Jake suddenly looks like Elway

Leave the game alone and look for better bets

they're number 8, allowing 3.4 yards per carry and 93.6 yards per game. the Chiefs rushed for 158 yards, with a 4.5 average. He scored 3 touchdowns. Green passed for 320 yards. as you know they got scorched. They did beat Baltimore, since their quarterback sucks, I suppose. Lewis had 88 yards, 3.8 yards per carry. Ravens with only 143 yards passing. They beat the Bungles. The Bungles ran for 183 freakin' yards, 4.1 yards per carry, lol. They threw for 125 yards. Tenessee: 40 yards rushing, 22 carries, 1.8 yards per game. This game helped to balance out the very poor stats of those other games. Cleveland ran for 124 yards, 3.1 yards per carry.

Denver all the way.
